Once again this year Amy will be participating in the annual Corrales Art & Studio Tour. If you have missed the tour in the past, you should really try and make it this year. Eighty artists will open up their homes, businesses, and studios in Corrales for two days (April 30th & May 1st) from 10-5. The quality of the work being displayed is simply outstanding and all work is for sale. Many artists will be demonstrating their process and all will be on hand for you to chat with. Come get to know us, learn a bit, and enjoy the beautiful village of Corrales. You can begin your tour by stopping by the Preview Gallery at the historic San Ysidro Church (Old Church) located at 966 Old Church Road in Corrales to see pieces by all participating artists to plan your route through the village.
Amy will be located at the home of Deborah Wilcox, an immensely talented painter specializing in contemporary realism. (Debi’s beautiful historic home is reason enough to come out!) Amy and Debi are joined by fiber artist Sue Orchant and her vibrant hand-painted silks & jeweler Joni Bold. They are collectively stops 8-11 on the studio tour map. Catalogues can be downloaded here.

A new pup on the block; announcing Ghostwolf Gallery!
We’ve had the honor of getting to chat with many of you over the past year and you may therefore recall mention that we had something exciting in the works. That twinkle in our eyes took on actual form earlier this year, and our new gallery “Ghostwolf” became reality.
As a recipient of this newsletter, you were added to the Ghostwolf newsletter as well, so we hope you got wind of our grand-opening celebration! (If you do not wish to be on that mailing list, just unsubscribe or let us know and we’ll remove you with apologies.)
We could not be more excited about the mix of work that our artists have brought to our beautiful contemporary art space and the incredible response we had to our grand opening party. None of this would have happened without your enthusiasm and support and we want to make sure you know how much we appreciate that! Mention this newsletter during the month of May and get a 15% discount on Amy’s work (11×14 or over in size) at the gallery and a chance to win a special gift!
Huge thanks for your past and continuing support. We love getting to see you all at shows and events and look forward to seeing you when you stop by the gallery!

Amy got her Ph.D. in Biology in ’06 but also had training in Fine Art photography and a strong desire to pursue her creative side in a more tangible fashion. When her husband Stefan mentioned starting up a business in photography, an old love was rekindled, and she supported him with vigor and enthusiasm.
You can find her work at Ghostwolf Gallery in Albuquerque Old Town and online at amyditto.com. Call her at 505.286.1127, or contact her online via her artist website with inquiries regarding purchase! In addition, The Range Cafe in Bernalillo, NM carries a sampling of her work, and she is featured at Studio 14 in Madrid, NM!
You can also follow Amy on Facebook & Twitter! (Links below!)
If you live and work in Albuquerque, you may have seen Amy’s image “Dia de los Moo-uertos” on billboards around the city advertising the Corrales Art & Studio Tour.

“In Dreams” chosen as the 2016-2017 Placitas Artists Series branding image.
Once again this year Amy is honored to be chosen as an artist in the Placitas Artists Series! Details regarding her show dates are forthcoming, but we’re extra pleased to announce that her image “In Dreams” was chosen as the branding image for the season’s programs and website. The committee seeks images that best define life in Placitas and this particular image of Amy’s was taken at the home of Lan & Armen Chakerian (Stefan’s parents) who resided in the village for many years.
Amy writes: This image, titled “In Dreams” was shot at the home of my in-laws who moved to the village many years ago after all of the kids had all gone off to college. My father-in-law built their home with his own hands, working the earth, nurturing the land, and coexisting with the wildlife for all of the years they were there. Their home was a dream home to me; lots of land nestled in the foothills, a babbling brook in the back, fruit trees, a wonderful vegetable & herb garden and greenhouse, wandering paths through gorgeous flower gardens, and a lovely patio with the most perfect bench (handcrafted by a family friend) to sit on and watch the sunset. To me, their house was the very definition of the word “home”. It exuded peace and beauty and its inhabitants were kind and generous people. We lost Lan in 2007 and Armen in 2010. Their home is now someone else’s and I can only hope that they love it as much as the couple that lived out their golden years together there did. It would be a special honor to have this image be the branding image for the 2016-2017 Placitas Artists Series given how much these two people that broke all of the stereotypes about “in laws” meant to me.
