from the studio of Amy M. Ditto & Aperture Photography
Greetings! Summer is officially here and we hope that the year has been a wonderful one for you thus far. We haven’t sent a newsletter in a while, so we have lots and lots to share with you! If you are new to the list, welcome!
2014 Arts & Crafts Fair Show Schedule
The 2014 summer Fine Art show season is in full swing. Join Amy at the New Mexico Arts & Crafts Fair at the Manuel Lujan building at the New Mexico State Fairgrounds Friday June 27th (10-9), Saturday June 28th (10-5), and Sunday June 29th (10-4). The quality of the work at this show is outstanding, and the entry fee is half price on Friday night! Amy is in booth #80.
Amy’s year started out right this year when her image “Meanwhile, Back in Kansas” (shown below) won the Juror’s Choice award in the annual “Color it Red” contest sponsored by Red Dog News and Matrix Fine Art. Grats Amy!
We would like to invite you to visit Studio 14 in Madrid, NM. Studio 14 is a new gallery featuring contemporary work from a variety of local artists in central New Mexico. Coincidentally, Amy is now showing her work there. If you’ve followed the Turquoise Trail up to Madrid, you already know what a gem this old mining town is. And, if you haven’t, you’ve truly got something to look forward to on a sunny summer day. The work in the gallery is gorgeous and crazy cool, you will not be disappointed if you love contemporary art. Get thee to Madrid!
IMAGE NM 2014
In 2011, Amy’s image “Where There’s Smoke” won second place in the IMAGE NM show. This year, you are invited to join her at Matrix Fine Art to view “Dusk ‘Till Dawn”, a comparatively rare B&W from the artist. (Below) You can view all of the selected images on the web here (click me). Opening reception: July 5, 5-8pm. All are invited!
Amy got her Ph.D. in Biology in ’06 but also had training in Fine Art photography and a strong desire to pursue her creative side in a more tangible fashion. When her husband Stefan mentioned starting up a business in photography, an old love was rekindled, and she supported him with vigor and enthusiasm.
You can find her work on display (and for sale) at the Albuquerque Photographer’s Gallery, and online at amyditto.com. Call her at 505.286.1127, or contact her online via her artist website with inquiries regarding purchase! In addition, The Range Cafe in Bernalillo, NM is now carrying a small sampling of her work, and she is featured at Studio 14 in Madrid, NM!
You can also follow Amy on Facebook & Twitter! (Links below!)
If you have a brick and mortar store in Albuquerque, mention this email newsletter and get a 15% discount off the normal price of a Google Maps Business View virtual tour through July. This tour will show up on your web search results, includes several product shots of your choosing, and has no upkeep costs. This is the best bang for your marketing buck!
